Cheese, Pepperoni, and Banana Peppers
PI Craft, Tonawanda, NY
This pizza was made fresh, right in front of me. I was given a choice between a oval shaped "PI" or a round 12" pizza; I chose the latter. I chose the sauce and toppings, then they threw it onto a rotating slab in a large 750° pizza oven. About 6 minutes later it was done.
Summary & Score | |
---|---|
Presentation | The pizza looked very good when it came out of the oven, good shape and color. The cheese was nicely melted. |
Crust | The crust was pretty thin. |
Sauce | I went with the 'Herb Red' sauce. It was OK, a little to 'herby' for my liking. I will likely get the 'Just Tomato Sauce' next time. |
Toppings | I chose pepperoni and banana peppers for my toppings. The amount of toppings was good. I would say the pepperoni was just OK. |
Overall | Overall, I would give this pizza a 7 out of 10. I would have liked more cheese and the Herb Red sauce just didn't do it for me. |
